The boxing phenom from Stockton, California, Gabe Flores Jr. (6-0, 5 KOs) improved his record with another flashy performance at The American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The youngest fighter ever signed to a professional contract with promotional juggernaut Top Rank, made quick and easy work of opponent Alex Solorio (4-3, 1 KO).

Following the opening bell, a completely relaxed and composed Flores dished out a lightning fast jab that set up crisp and punishing combinations on Solorio.

Solorio had no response to the onslaught of blows attacking him in every direction. Flores would eventually secure the TKO victory after the referee in charge called a halt to the bout–and rightfully so.

“I did what I had to do in there,” said a confident Flores after the bout. “I represented Stockton out there, my team, and my high school.”

A lot has been said about the 17-year-old prospect and with every fight, he continues to live up to the expectations.

“I’m blessed to be here. I work hard and have confidence in my team,” said Flores. “Whatever my dad says, I do. I’m like a robot in there.”

Flores certainly has the aura of superstar and with performances like this, he remains one of the top prospects to keep an eye on.
