I wanted to go with “The Sweet Hands Episode”, but sometimes there’s a price for being indirect…
Fork with me this week, family, as I have a down-to-earth interview with the volunteer state’s Caleb “Sweet Hands” Plant – a rising undefeated Super Middleweight now based in Las Vegas. I posted excerpts of the interview last week at, ahead of his Friday night fight on Showtime (Sept 8), but plenty more was said by the hungry fighter.
Check out Plant (@ the 1:09:09 mark) as he talks about topics such as his favorite rapper, how racial differences get resolved “in the gym”, which Super Middleweight champions he desires to face in early-2018, his relationship with PBC Jabs host Jordan Hardy, and still even more.
Of course you know one-loss Saul Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs) faces undefeated Middleweight unified world champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) – a long-awaited battle between two P4P mainstays – this Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada’s T-Mobile Arena, right? So, (starting @ 44:46) RBR Boxing staff writer Brandon Glass (@unavowedgenius) joined the show to help break all the action down – and some Insecure Season Two finale talk. We couldn’t help it! No seriously, Glass also recapped HBO’s explosive-packed Super Fly(weight) card from this past Saturday which featured possibly the final appearance of former P4P kingpin Roman Gonzalez, and the introduction of Naoya “Monster” Inoue to U.S. boxing fans.
Lastly, binge watching 7 epic seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones in time for the recent season finale got a brother severely out the loop on every other series I typically recap on PMNM. I did what I could this week regarding series updates, but I got serious for a minute to dig into whether it’s a great move that Starz reportedly gave Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson a de facto blank check to develop three more series for the home network of POWER.
We (with input from PMNM’s engineer Jayare Kight) got into a break down of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez versus Gennady “GGG” Golovkin on this episode, but I’m old school so if it isn’t written it never happened. Check out my fight analysis along with several members of the RBR Boxing staff.
